The Dictionary of the Environment is Launched in Santiago
Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) and its sister organization in the United States, the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD), presented the Dominican Encyclopedic Dictionary of the Environment in this city, last Wednesday, the 26th.

More than 1,000 youth attended the Inaugural Ceremony of the seventh edition of the International Conference of the Americas, CILA 2011. This year’s program of academic activities is directed both to the youth delegates and to their professors.

Photo exhibit “New Perspectives: Dominican Republic” in Chile, produced by GFDD in collaboration with the Dominican Republic Embassy in Chile, started its journey in South America with a display at the prestigious art gallery Jorge Carroza in Santiago, Chile.

In its first presentation in South America, the photo exhibit “New Perspectives: Dominican Republic” opened the evening of October 25th in Santiago, at an exquisite location across from the presidential palace, La Moneda. The corner, one of the busiest and liveliest streets in the city, sits in the heart of the city, where public servants and ministers share the sidewalk with passersby, students, families and mothers with their strollers.

The Dominican Encyclopedic Dictionary of the Environment on line is now available in English – November 28th, 2012
The Dominican Encyclopedic Dictionary of the Environment, available on line in Spanish since 2008 and in print since 2011, is now available on line in English. While the modern world faces many environmental challenges, effective conservation and protection of our natural environment will require informed and concerned citizens. In response to this critical task, Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) created the
Dominican Encyclopedic Dictionary of the Environment.

Residents of Rhode Island Experience Photo Exhibit: New Perspectives: Dominican Republic
Residents of Rhode Island enjoyed the natural beauty, culture and integral spirit of the Dominican Republic during a special Gala Gallery Night Reception sponsored by Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) in collaboration with the University of Rhode Island’s Urban Arts & Culture Program.

Dominican Movie, “La Hija Natural” Makes Oscar List for 2012
A Dominican movie made with the support of several institutions including GFDD and FUNGLODE, has made it to the list of official Oscar entries of Best Foreign Film submissions.

InteRDom’s Advertisement in “IIE Networker” Brings More Visibility to the Program
The Fall 2011 edition of the International Institute for Education’s biannual IIENetworker Magazine is finally available, and it features a half-page advertisement for InteRDom Internships in the Dominican Republic in both its online and print editions, as well as the institutional video of InteRDom’s parent institution, Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) on its online viewer.

Southern New Jersey Won Over by First-Ever Dominican get-together in the Garden State
On Friday, October 14, 2011, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and elected government officials united with filmmakers and athletes to help GFDD, and its partner institution The Dominican American Chamber of Commerce of Southern New Jersey, to come together at the first ever Dominican Get-Together in the Garden State.

Conference at FUNGLODE on Best Practices in the Management of Internship Programs for Companies and Colleges Concludes
The 7th edition of the annual InteRDom Conference took place at FUNGLODE headquarters on October 13, and it brought together businesses and universities to discuss international standards that allow human resources and higher education professionals to facilitate access for college students to internships and to the development of a career plan.
