Organizations Learn Strategies for Managing Multi-Generational Workplaces at 2013 InteRDom Conference
On October 30th, after a great learning experience for participants, the 8th edition of the InteRDom Conference, “Millenials in the Workplace.” came to a close. The two-day conference included a keynote address and two workshops on the topic of Millennials– or Generation Y– given by Rachel Reiser, international researcher and founder of the company Generationally Speaking.

GFDD and FUNGLODE to Greet United Nations G77 Coordinator for Economic Governance and Financing for Development
Close on the heels of the high level dialogue, held earlier in October at UN Headquarters, on the overall theme “The Monterrey Consensus, Doha Declaration on Financing for Development and related outcomes of major United Nations conferences and summits: status of implementation and tasks ahead”, the November edition of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development online broadcast program “Global Roundtable” will be
focusing on issues of Financing.

CILA 2013 Draws to an Exuberant Close as Enthusiastic Participants Reflect and Revel in Uniting Nations
The Ninth Edition of the International Conference of the Americas (CILA 2013) drew to a successful and inspiring close on Wednesday, October 30th, with the participation of more than 1,200 animated students from different regions of the world, who had for three days united in an environment of diplomacy and cooperation to discuss and propose solutions to the challenges facing the international community.

Announcing the Winners of III DREFF Audience Award
The Dominican Republic Environmental Film Festival (DREFF) is pleased to announce this year’s Audience Award Winners. Out of III DREFF’s diverse selection of acclaimed films – 15 featured films, 6 short films, 5 Dominican productions and 2 retrospective films– audience members selected their top picks.

Public Career of Professor Juan Bosch Lauded During Award Ceremony Led by GFDD and FUNGLODE President, Leonel Fernandez
Director General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Irina Bokova, praised the work and public career of the late former President of the Dominican Republic, Professor Juan Bosch, who, she said, left a legacy of global reach.

DREFF to participate in 20th Environmental International Film Festival (FICMA)
The Dominican Republic Environmental Film Festival (DREFF), an initiative of GFDD and FUNGLODE, will be traveling to Barcelona, Spain, from November 5 – 9, 2013, to participate in several activities complementing screenings at the 20th Environmental International Film Festival (FICMA), one of the world’s largest and most established film festivals of its kind.

President of GFDD and FUNGLODE Leonel Fernández Receives Honorary Degree from Paris University for Solidarity with Haiti after 2010 Earthquake
On Monday, the President of the University of Paris VIII, Dr. Danielle Tartakowsky, congratulated the former President of the Dominican Republic, Dr. Leonel Fernández, when she awarded him the degree of “Doctor Honoris Causa” for the strong support he offered to the Haitian people following the earthquake that devastated the capital and much of Haiti in January of 2010.

GFDD and FUNGLODE Films Hold Special Screening of La Montaña
On Saturday October 26, GFDD and FUNGLODE were delighted to offer a special screening of the newly released Dominican film, “La montaña” (The Mountain). The activity was organized for the students who participated in the Educational Excursions to Pico Duarte, a program which form part of the Dominican Republic Environmental Film Festival (DREFF) since 2012.

InteRDom Completes Successful Visit to Georgia Universities
In their first promotional visit to the Atlanta-area, InteRDom representatives were excited to form new connections with faculty and students at Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), and to strengthen their relationship with the University of Georgia (UGA on October 23-25, 2013.

GFDD and Funglode Films presents special screening of The Mountain
On October 26th, GFDD and FUNGLODE are proud to organize a special screening of the new film The Mountain, for students whom have participated in the Educational Expeditions to Pico Duarte, a program which forms part of the DR Environmental Film Festival since 2012.
