  • GMAI February Activities

    GFDD/ FUNGLODE’s Global Media Arts Institute is offering during the month of February a seminar and two workshops in collaboration with the Cuban International School of Film and Television San Antonio de los Baños (EICTV for its name in Spanish). These activities are the first in many to come with the collaboration of both institutions.

  • Four Original Scripts Produced in Workshop on Advanced Production in Santo Domingo

    As part of the ongoing initiative to enhance the film industry in the Dominican Republic, One Race Films, New York University Opportunities Programs, and the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development/ Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo offered an advanced production workshop at the Global Media Arts Institute in Santo Domingo.

  • Interview with InteRDom Student of the Month: Arisleyda Diloné

    I worked with the United Nations Association of the Dominican Republic and with the Center for National Commercial Business. At the United Nations Association I met people from all different backgrounds and assisted with C.I.L.A., the International Conference of the Americas, which united over 2000 young students to do a simulation of the United Nations.

  • InteRDom Students Visit Largest Cave in the Caribbean

    InteRDom students had the opportunity to visit some of the hidden wonders of the Dominican Republic when they ventured into the Fun Fun Caves (formerly known as the Devil’s Cave), near the town of Hato Mayor on the eastern part of the island. The fabulous caves are said to be amongst the largest in the world and are the longest in the Caribbean.

  • GDLN Ordinary Meeting

    GFDD/ FUNGLODE in collaboration with the National Institute of Public Administration (INAP for its name in Spanish) will be the host of the fourth Global Development Learning Network – GDLN Ordinary Meeting. This is the first time the Dominican Republic hosts a GDLN event. This event, which will take place from December 11th to the 13th, in the FUNGLODE headquarters, has as a primary objective the definition of policys and procedures that will strengthen the training and distance
    education programs, that the Network develops.

  • IV Introductory Computer Course

    Global Foundation for Democracy and Development/ Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo in coordination with the NGO Alliance and Technological Institute of the Americas (ITLA for its name in Spanish), initiated the IV Computer Course aimed at Non Governmental Organizations (NGO’s), with the purpose of training the personnel that work in the NGO Alliance member organizations.

  • GFDD/ FUNGLODE Formally Inaugurate the Global Media Arts Institute

    Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and its sister organization in the Dominican Republic, Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), formally introduced the Global Media Arts Institute during a ceremony in the FUNGLODE headquarters in Santo Domingo.

  • II Art & Aesthetic Education Congress

    The ASPIRA Foundation organized the Second Art and Esthetic Education Congress which took place in San Juan, Puerto Rico from November 10th – 12th. Global Foundation for Democracy and Development/ Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo had significant participation in the congress.

    Joe Wilson, Microsoft’s International Academic Director, will dictate a conference titled “National Academic Technology Innovation Program”, October 25th, in the FUNGLODE auditorium.
