“We Will Not Improve Education in Latin America Without Innovation and the Private Sector”
GFDD representatives attended the launch of the new book “Educación 3.0: The Struggle for Talent in Latin America” by Gabriel Sánchez Zinny, in a reception held at the Embassy of Ecuador in Washington, D.C. on October 21st, 2014, joining diplomats from several Latin American countries and representatives of multilateral organizations, think tanks and private sector companies working in education and/or development both in the United States and the region.

InteRDom Travels to Michigan for International Fairs
In an effort to bring opportunities in the Dominican Republic to a larger audience throughout the United States, InteRDom is excited to be participating for the first time in two back-to-back fairs at Michigan universities; the Global Opportunities Fair at Michigan State University on October 22nd, 2014, and the International Opportunities Fair at the University of Michigan on October 23rd, 2014.

The first was a Briefing Session on the Report of the Intergovernmental Committee of Experts on Sustainable Development Financing and the second was the First Substantive Information Session of the Preparatory Process for the 3rd International Conference on Financing for Development.

GFDD Joined the Discussion on Rethinking Productive Policies for Regional Development
On October 9, 2014, GFDD representatives attended the event “Good-Bye Industrial Policy, Hello Productive Development Policy” hosted by the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) in Washington, D.C. In this event, the IADB launched their new book called “Rethinking Productive Development: Sound Policies and Institutions for Economic Transformation”, which aims to help countries to adopt the productive development policies necessary to prosper while avoiding the mistakes of
the past.
