GFDD to Partner with UNA-USA Council of Organizations and other NGOs for UN Panel Discussion on Climate Change and its Impact on Children’s Health
The Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) in partnership with the United Nations Association of America Council of Organizations (UNA USA COO) and the Institute for Life Sciences Collaboration will host a panel discussion to celebrate the adoption of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (the 2030 Agenda), as ratified by the UN General Assembly. Marc Jourdan, GFDD’S UN Programs & Outreach Manager, will give a presentation focusing on climate change and its
impact on small island developing states like the Dominican Republic.

On Thursday, GFDD boarded the world’s largest passenger ship sailing around the world for peace, sustainability and innovation as it docked in New York City for two days (October 20-21) as part of Peace Boat’s 92nd Global Voyage for Peace.

InteRDom Participates for the Fifth Year in a Row in the Annual Baruch College Work Abroad Fair
InteRDom attended the ninth annual Baruch College Work Abroad Fair on October 20th, 2016, where different institutions met with students to showcase their study, intern and volunteer abroad programs available for 2017. The fair was hosted by the Baruch College Weissman Center for International Business, at the Information and Technology Building in New York City. The event attracted the participation of more than 40 students mostly from the Business Academic
Department of Baruch College, which included Marketing, Finance and Accounting majors.

Dr. Leonel Fernández Suggests Strengthening Strategic Alliance between Dominican Republic and Florida
The President of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (Funglode), and former Dominican president, Dr. Leonel Fernández, met in Tampa Bay with members of the business, academic, and political communities as well as Florida government representatives and Dominican cultural leaders, to whom he suggested strengthening the strategic alliance between his country and this southernmost American state.

More than 1000 Students Get Ready to Discuss Sustainable Development at CILA 2016
The United Nations Association of the Dominican Republic (UNA-DR) together with Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (Funglode) and its sister institution in the United States, the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) will hold the twelfth annual edition of its recognized International Conference of the Americas (CILA) 2016. CILA is the student event on global issues of greatest importance in Latin America and the Caribbean.
