Former ambassadors, historian Bernardo Vega, and political science specialist, Flavio Darío Espinal were the guest panelists in Santo Domingo.

Participation of the Dominican Republic at the Inter-American Seminar on Education for Democracy
Following its commitment to the development of civil society and civic education, FUNGLODE/GFDD took part in the Inter-American Seminar on Education for Democracy that took place in Washington, DC, September 20-23, 2004. The Seminar was hosted by the Organization of American States, OAS, and the Center for Civic Education.

GFDD/FUNGLODE, in collaboration with the Inter-American Agency for Cooperation and Development (IACD), and the Organization of American States (OAS), held a program on Electronic Government, July 28-29, 2004, in Santo Domingo.

GFDD and FUNGLODE Host Center for Civic Education
FUNGLODE/GFDD presented Dr. Richard A. Nuccio, Director of Center for Civic Education, organization based in Los Angeles. Dr. Nuccio described the role and need for the existence of an organization like the CCE. He also brought the audience to date concerning their activities in the Dominican Republic in collaboration with the PUCMM.
