    Fernando Henrique Cardoso, former President of Brazil, was the main speaker at the XII Lecture Series of the Americas, a program of the Organization of American States. Henrique Cardoso stated that the rising of leftist parties in Latin American countries still does not represent a threat to democracy in the region.

  • XXIII Model General Assembly of the OAS

    The Organization of American States (OAS), the Ministry of Higher Education, (SEESCyT for its acronym in Spanish), the United Nations Association of the Dominican Republic (ANURD,) Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE,) and Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) launched the “XXIII Model of the General Assembly of the Organization of American States for Universities (MOEA)”.

Alleyne, head of PAHO from 1995 to 2003 and currently Chancellor of the University of the West Indies in his lecture on “Health for Development” at the Ninth Conference of the Lecture Series of the Americas October 11, 2005.

  • Teachers and Professors Benefit from Grant for Quality in Education on Line Course

    A total of 279 professionals of the education sector are benefiting from the grants offered by Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) and Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD,) in collaboration with the State Secretary for Basic Education (SEE per its Spanish acronym) and the State Secretary for Higher Education, Science and Technology (SEESCyT per its Spanish acronym) and are following the on line course provided by the Organization of American States’
    (OAS) Institute of Advanced Studies for the Americas (INEAM).
