  • Challenges Facing Latin America and the Caribbean

    As part of the VIII Lecture Series of the Americas organized by the Organization of American States (OAS), the former president of Spain, Felipe González delivered a conference entitled “Challenges Confronting Latin America and the Caribbean”.

  • GFDD Organizes Lecture by President Fernández at Georgetown University

    As part of a continued effort to reach out to U.S. institutions and strengthen the links between the Dominican Republic and the U.S. public in general, GFDD, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in Washington , organized a lecture delivered by President Leonel Fernández at Georgetown University on September 12.

  • GFDD and the UNA-DR at the UN Annual DPI/NGO Conference in New York City

    Under the title of “Our Challenge: Voices for Peace, Partnerships and Renewal”, the United Nations held its 58 th Annual DPI/NGO Conference on September 7-9 at UN headquarters in New York City . Natasha Despotovic, Executive Director of GFDD, and Pilar Sandoval , Executive Director of the UNA-DR, participated in the meetings.

  • Teachers and Professors Benefit from Grant for Quality in Education on Line Course

    A total of 279 professionals of the education sector are benefiting from the grants offered by Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) and Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD,) in collaboration with the State Secretary for Basic Education (SEE per its Spanish acronym) and the State Secretary for Higher Education, Science and Technology (SEESCyT per its Spanish acronym) and are following the on line course provided by the Organization of American States’
    (OAS) Institute of Advanced Studies for the Americas (INEAM).
