  • Conference on Creative Writing for Scripts

    The Global Media Arts Institute (GMAI), an initiative of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), will organize the conference, “Creative Writing for Scripts,” which will be presented by Tom Lutz.

  • InteRDom Announces Start of Spring Semester Enrollment

    The internship program, InteRDom, an initiative of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), announces the start of the Spring Semester (January 5 – April 24, 2009) enrollment period, August 1, 2008. The deadline to submit applications is November 7, 2008.

  • GFDD, FUNGLODE and UNA-DR Commemorate International Youth Day

    On August 13, 2008, in celebration of International Youth Day, Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD), Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) and the United Nations Association of the Dominican Republic (UNA-DR) presented a screening of the film, The 11th Hour, at FUNGLODE Headquarters in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

  • InteRDom Summer 2008 Closing Ceremony Takes Place at Casa de Teatro

    On Thursday, August 7, 2008 InteRDom ended its summer program with its final event, a closing ceremony and photo exhibition at Casa de Teatro in the Colonial Zone.   • InteRDom Excursion to Saona Island and Altos de Chavon

    On August 2nd, the InteRDom Program organized an excursion to Saona Island and Altos de Chavón for the 2008 summer interns. During the two and a half hour bus ride to Bayahibe, the group’s tour guide informed the students about the vegetation, wildlife and growing tourist industry of the Eastern region of the country.
