  • InteRDom Presents Ballplayer: Pelotero at Drexel University

    In collaboration with the Drexel University Spanish Club, InteRDom invites Drexel students, professors and community members to the screening of Ballplayer: Pelotero, directed by Guagua Productions, and narrated by actor, writer and performer, John Leguizamo on Friday, April 11 at 5:30 p.m.

  • GFDD Publication Launched at Medgar Evers College

    On April 8, Global Foundation for Democracy and Development launched the English Version of one of its more recent  publications: “The Presence of Africa in the Caribbean, the Antilles and the United States.” The venue of the book launch and panel discussion at Medgar Evers’ Edison O. Jackson Auditorium in Brooklyn, was especially poignant.

  • GFDD and FUNGLODE to Partner on Cultural Tourism Event

    On Saturday May 3, 2014, GFDD and FUNGLODE  will partner along with the Dominican Embassy to the White House on Cultural Tourism DC’s annual Passport DC program. The activity, which sees fifty embassies open their doors to thousands of Washington, D.C. visitors and residents alike marks a global celebration for a metropolitan city.

  • GFDD Newly Elected to CoNGO Board of Directors

    The Conference on NGO’S (CoNGO) General Assembly was convened in New York 2-4 April, 2014, under the headline subject: “Defining a Sustainable Future.” Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) was among 20 Civil Society organizations unanimously elected for CoNGO Board membership for a three-year term, 2014-2017.

  • DR Environmental Short to be Showcased at Yale Film Festival

    Global Foundation for Democracy and Development’s (GFDD’s) in-house produced short film has been selected as one of the 25 shorts and 10 feature films to screen at the Environmental Film Festival at Yale (EFFY). The Festival, which is sponsored by the School of Forestry and Environmental Studies at the University, showcases incisive, cutting edge feature films and shorts that raise awareness of current environmental and social issues.
