  • Dominican Week in the US 2007

    The Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), in association with the Semanadom Committee, Grupo Profesionales Dominicanos (GPD) of Washington DC, Goldman Sachs and Universidad APEC (UNAPEC), will be organizing Dominican Week in the United States.

  • Dominican Week in USA

    During the third week of September, New York and Washington D.C. will be hosts to “Dominican Week”; a week filled with activities that represent the Dominican community abroad. Some of those activities are panels, conferences, roundtables, fairs, and various cultural events.

    A special task force was established by the Inter-American Dialogue to explore the impact of remittances on social and economic development in Latin America.

  • The Role of the Dominican Diaspora: Forging Change in the Homeland

    Ms. María Elizabeth Rodríguez, Director of the NY-DR Strategic Alliance Project, emphasized the proactive role of the Dominican Diaspora in the economic development of the Dominican Republic at the Berkeley Center for Globalization and Information Technology’s conference: “The Diaspora and Homeland Development.”
