    On December 12, 2018 the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) will collaborate with the Lawrence Public Library and the city of Lawrence, Massachusetts Mayor’s office for a screening of the film, “Hay un país en el mundo” (There is a Country in the World).

Escritos de Teoría y Acción” (unofficial translation: “Years of Progress. Writings on Theory and Action”) at the Miami Book Fair.

    Opinion makers believe that what is at the core of the debate is a power struggle between two sectors of the organization. For others, what is involved is a struggle to determine if the primaries will be defined by the party’s registry (closed primaries) or, quite the contrary, if the voter registry of the Electoral Board (open primaries) should be used. It will all depend on the convenience of the parties involved.

  • CILA 2018 Featured the Participation of More Than 500 Young People

    The International Conference of the Americas (CILA 2018) finished up its 14th edition on Wednesday, October 24 with the participation of more than 500 young people from the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina and other countries in the region. After three days of work, the event culminated in awards being presented to the most impressive delegations.

  • The 14th International Conference of the Americas Gets Underway in Punta Cana

    The United Nations Association of the Dominican Republic (ANU-RD, for its initials in Spanish), Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (Funglode), its sister organization in the United States the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD), in collaboration with the  Globalmuners Mexican Civil Association, inaugurated the 14th edition of the International Conference of the Americas (CILA 2018) on Sunday October 21.

  • GFDD Hosts Leadership Workshop in Connecticut with Dominican Businesswoman

    On the evening of October 18, 2018, the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD/Funglode), the Latina Women Association and New Opportunities hosted a special conference in Torrington, Connecticut entitled “Las 4 P’s del liderazgo modern: Preparación, Planificación, Persistencia y Persona” (The 4 P’s of Modern Leadership: Preparation, Planning, Persistence and Persona) led by Dominican businesswoman Linda Valette.
