  • GFDD and FUNGLOD Hold Discussion on First US Presidential Debate

    Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo and Global Foundation for Democracy and Development held a joint program September 30, 2004 around the first U.S. presidential debate. Former ambassadors, historian Bernardo Vega, and political science specialist, Flavio Darío Espinal were the guest panelists in Santo Domingo.

  • FUNGLODE Hosts Event at United Nations

    In support of the UN’s initiative Millennium Development Goals, the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (FUNGLODE) participated in the 57 th Department of Public Information (DPI) and Non-Government Organizations (ONG) Conference to discuss the subject of Millennium Development Goals: Civil Society Takes Action , that took place at UN Headquarters in New York.

  • GFDD and FUNGLODE Host Center for Civic Education

    FUNGLODE/GFDD presented Dr. Richard A. Nuccio, Director of Center for Civic Education, organization based in Los Angeles. Dr. Nuccio described the role and need for the existence of an organization like the CCE. He also brought the audience to date concerning their activities in the Dominican Republic in collaboration with the PUCMM.

    The Global Foundation for Democracy and Development participated in the V International Meeting on Education, Training, and Information Technology, Virtual Educa 2004, that took place June 16-18, 2004, in Barcelona, Spain.

  • GFDD at the XXXIV OAS General Assembly

    The XXXIV General Assembly of the Organization of American States was held in Quito, Ecuador, from 6 to 8 June of the current year. Global Foundation for Democracy and Development participated as one of around seventy non-governmental organizations and was represented by its Executive Director in the U.S.A., Ms. Natasha Despotovic.
