  • Meeting on Television Culture in Ibero-America

    The conference, “Why a Television Culture in Ibero-America?” will be presented by José Manuel Pérez Tornero, one of the most prestigious communication and education specialists in Europe. The presentation will officially open the Meeting on Ibero-American Television Culture that will take place December 6-8, 2007 at FUNGLODE Headquarters.

  • GFDD and FUNGLODE Receive Donation From the John D. & Catherine T. Mac Arthur Foundation

    Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) will receive a donation from the John D. & Catherine T. Mac Arthur Foundation to provide training to judges in the area of environmental law in the Dominican Republic, Haiti and Jamaica. Training sessions will be implemented during the course of three years, beginning January 2008 and ending December 2010.

  • GFDD and FUNGLODE Elaborate a Plan for the Management of the Sosúa Marine Park

    Based on the methodology outlined in the World Conservation Union’s manual, “How is Your MPA Doing?,” Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD), Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), Counterpart International and the Sosúa Marine Sanctuary have elaborated a plan for the management of the Sosúa Marine Park.

  • 2007 International Conference of the Americas

    During the opening ceremony of CILA 2007 Master of Ceremonies, Crisermy Mercado; Secretary General, Diana Zuluaga; Executive Director of the United Nations Association of the Dominican Republic (UNA-RD), Pilar Sandoval; and FUNGLODE General Director, Frederic Eman-Zadé, welcomed the more than 1,500 individuals that participated in the event.
