  • InteRDom Students Visit Santiago

    The InteRDom students that arrived in the Dominican Republic two months ago have been carrying out internships with reputed Dominican and international organizations as well as taking academic courses at UNIBE University over the course of the summer.

  • New York International Latino Film Festival

    The New York International Latino Film Festival (NYILFF) is the premier Urban Latino film event in the country. The NYILFF’s mission is to showcase the works of the hottest emerging Latino filmmaking talent in the U.S. and Latin America, offer expansive images of the Latino experience and celebrate the diversity and spirit of the Latino community.

  • GFDD and FUNGLODE Organize ESL Skill Building Workshop

    Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and its sister organization in the Dominican Republic, Fundación Global Democracia y Desarollo (FUNGLODE), organized a skill building workshop for English as a Second Language instructors in the Dominican Republic.

  • 2007 GFDD and FUNGLODE Awards

    The last day to submit entries for the 2007 GFDD and FUNGLODE Awards is July 30th for all categories with the exception of journalism. Submissions for this category will be accepted until July 31st.

  • From Rossellini to Rossellini

    Natasha Despotovic, Executive Director of GFDD and Vice President of FUNGLODE, introduced Renzo, and spoke of his personal contributions he had made to the film industry, both with regard to productions and his work as an educator.

  • Students Begin Internships in NYC

    The six Dominican students that received scholarships from GFDD and FUNGLODE’s Global Media Arts Institute and New York University’s Opportunity Program began their studies in New York, July 9, 2007.

GFDD accomplishes its goals through research projects, training programs, academic exchange programs, publications, seminars and conferences, as well as joint US-DR task force efforts and development programs. It encourages intellectual and professional development of Dominican general audiences and experts in the country and abroad, while working to offer viable action plans and solutions to domestic problems for the benefit of Dominicans residing in the Dominican Republic, the United States and Latin America.
