Dr. Leonel Fernández to Launch Book Collection in New York and Florida: “Democracy, Modernity and Progress”
President of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (Funglode), Dr. Leonel Fernández, will be holding book launches at the end of April in New York and Florida, for his new publication, a compilation of political speeches delivered during his three presidential terms, previously launched in Santo Domingo and Santiago de los Caballeros.

The Dominican Book Fair in New York Recognizes GFDD/Funglode as Special Collaborator
Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and its sister organization in the Dominican Republic, Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (Funglode) successfully participated, collaborating with the celebration of important activities, in the 10th edition of the Dominican Book Fair in NY, which took place from October 28 to 30. On this occasion GFDD/Funglode received recognition as a special collaborator of the annual Dominican Book Fair.

GFDD/Funglode at Dominican Book Fair in New York with Publications, Presentation of Programs and Conference with Veloz Maggiolo
The Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and its sister organization in the Dominican Republic, Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (Funglode), participated once again in the Dominican Book Fair in New York, now in its ninth year. This year’s Book Fair was held at Gregorio Luperón High School in Manhattan from September 26-28.

GFDD Celebrates Dominican Women Writers
Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) participated at the XIII International Book Fair of Dominican Women Writer, where several authors were honored for their contribution to Dominican literature. The inauguration took place at the Auditorium of Isabella Home Center in New York on March, where the opening remarks were made by Rosita Romero, founder and Executive Director of the Dominican Women’s Development Center (DWDC), who thanked everyone “for their
support to the book fair, where the Dominican diaspora talent, represented by workers and talented women, is recognized.“
