Leonel Fernández Signs Cooperative Agreement with Inter-American Bar Association
Dr. Leonel Fernández, former President of the Dominican Republic and current President of GFDD/Funglode, signed an inter-institutional cooperative agreement with the Inter-American Bar Association (IABA) for the promotion of technical and financial cooperation in forthcoming projects to be established by both institutions.

GFDD/Funglode President Strengthens Bonds with American Thought Leaders
Likewise, Dr. Fernández held a meeting with Becky Marshall, Chief of Staff at the World Resources Institute (WRI), to talk about the development of joint programs for the promotion of sustainable development and fighting against the adverse effects of climate change. During the encounter, the WRI committed to collaborate with Funglode as a partner on its “República Dominicana 2044” project. Dr. Leonel Fernández Signs Collaboration Agreement with CEPC
Concerning activities, GFDD/Funglode and CEPC, in accordance with their organizational standards and capabilities, will develop joint initiatives leading to better utilization of human and material resources in the fields of teaching, publications, as well as new revelations and research in Political Science, Constitutional Law, and other disciplines.

The Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD), in partnership with the Dominican Republic’s Commissioner of Culture in New York and as part of its Dominican Film Film Showcase program, delighted audience members on Wednesday April 19 with an interactive presentation by Yvette Marichal, Executive Director of the General Directorate of Film of the Dominican Republic, titled “A Review of Film Law in the Dominican Republic: Six Years of Constant Growth”.
